from the mouths of babes....
ME: Oh my God! Newt Gingrich won the South Carolina Primary! Now I have to deal with another month or two of hearing that hypocrite on TV!
Kai: Newt Gingrich..what...Dad?

21st Century Food Guilt
Me: Kai finish your breakfast.
Kai: ....
Reiko: Kai! do you know, that there are other children in countries with no food. They would love to have a breakfast like yours, but here you sit, Selfish Boy. So Selfish, you could be eating this food, but you just let it sit here. I wish I could send it to a developing country!
Kai: Well, why don't you send it?
Me: WOW!
Them: what?!?
Me: Reiko, you do realize that the "children are starving and you should eat this food guilt trip has been used by mothers since the 1940's or so to get kids to clean their plates, right? And I love the "developing countries" take you added to it. And YOU Kai, "well, why don't you send it?" Like we have teleporters or something to just beam food to Africa or something.
Kai: I didn't say teleporters!
Me: you implied it
Kai: No, we use Amazon!
ME: BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Kai: the website, not the River!
ME: (((just. completely. dies)))

Me: Yeah...
Kai: Why do some dogs have no fur on their belly?
Me: Umm, I'm not really sure, but I have a better question.
Kai: What?
Me: Why do you continue to ask me weird questions like this? I'm your Dad, not your personal encyclopedia.
Kai: Well, you kinda are. You are my funny personal encyclopedia that is more than half right most of the time.
Me: Ok.

I have eaten exactly one McRib in my life. As a southerner, I could get much better BBQ at about the same price anywhere I wanted. Here are some other reasons to hate it.

Real Small Businesses. Great film.
